
Basically Vasistha Yoga is made up of a discourse between Vasistha - a great sage - and Rama who is a prince and a god, set in the cultural milieu of the Indian subcontinent at some mythical point several hundred years ago. In it Vasistha relates to Rama a series of stories about a wide range of individuals who have acheived enlightenment.
